Allison creates quirky, offbeat picture books, board books, and early readers guided by developmental brain science.

Formerly a comic strip creator (NEUROTICA, Haiku Ewe, and Petuni & Dre) at Universal Uclick, Allison transitioned to children’s literature in January of 2025 when she entered the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults. She was selected for the Picture Book Intensive program for her second semester. In 2026, Allison also began the UC San Diego Children’s Book Illustration Certificate program.

Allison posts a weekly blog named “The Craft of Wonder.” She uses mentor texts and cites developing brain research while discussing how to create magical children’s books. Check out The Craft of Wonder.
