Hello! This is my first blog entry on my new website. My dog, Leroy, is lying on part of my lap, which makes it hard to type. He just moved. Okay, that’s much better. This is the kind of riveting content everyone can expect from this blog! The picture you see was taken of Leroy when he was still just a puppy. He’s a cutie!

Allison Garwood is a former comic strip creator who creates humorous books for kids, mostly informational fiction and nonfiction picture books. Working to earn an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Allison gets frequent hugs and pep talks from her two poorly trained, but empathic dogs.
